“When traveling around the world’s various wine regions, you realize that each place has something distinct about it—a unique mix of
flavors, textures, and energy that comes through in the wine. As we’ve set our flag in Napa, we’ve come to believe that what gives us a leg
up over so many of these world regions is the incredible diversity of our small geographic area. Cardinale takes advantage of that diversity
by combining different sub-appellations to create a wine that is truly the definition of “a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.”
The 2023 is an example of that at the highest level. Eight different sub-appellations weave together to present cassis, graphite, rose petal,
pain de grille aromatics with dark and red fruit, Asian spice, great texture, and length on the palate. This is a wine that we hope will allow
you to experience all of Napa Valley with each sip.

In 2023, we experienced a cool and wet winter as several atmospheric rivers descended on the valley. These left us with a healthy amount
of soil water and filled our reservoirs. A long, moderate growing season followed with no extended heat waves. Harvest spanned a month
and a half, allowing us to pick when the fruit was optimal rather than being driven by heat events or rain.”
